DoseMe Increases FHIR Power in Epic’s App Orchard

Today DoseMe is pleased to announce its precision dosing software – DoseMeRx – is now available in Epic’s App Orchard Marketplace.
Epic users can now immediately take advantage of DoseMeRx, powered by SMART® and FHIR® technologies, to gain the benefits of precision dosing – proven to reduce adverse events by up to 75% and decrease hospital stay length by more than six days.

Using SMART and FHIR technologies, DoseMeRx runs inside the EHR to automatically extract readily available information such as age, weight, dose administered, renal function and previous response to therapy. Leveraging clinically validated pharmacokinetic drug models, DoseMeRx models how each patient is responding to therapy from as-little-as one assay result, to accurately calculate an individualized dose to reach the desired therapeutic target in just three clicks all within a matter of seconds.

DoseMe’s integration with Epic follows the recent announcement of integration with Cerner Millennium®. Work now continues with the third major EHR provider – Allscripts – to continue expanding DoseMe’s offering throughout the United States and the rest of the world.
